Design Thatch: Product Designer

Product designer who crafts user experiences across the full design process, from strategy to component systems, and leads cross-functional collaboration on healthcare insurance products.

Mid Remote Posted about 17 hours ago We Work Remotely — Programming
What this role involves

Headquarters: Remote (US)

About the role

At Thatch, design is one of the defining traits that sets us apart. The healthcare experience in America has long been subpar, and the bar for quality design is low — we’re raising that bar, and with it, the entire health insurance industry.

As a designer at Thatch, you’ll craft beautiful experiences for the people using our product every day: businesses, their teams, and brokers. You’ll shape all aspects of design, including UI components for our design system, new products involving complex user interactions, and the overall strategy and vision of the design team. Your work will help create a better insurance experience that enables members to get the healthcare benefits they need while feeling calm, fulfilled, and liberated.

We’re looking for someone who can meet users where they are in their journey and inspire trust by delivering simple, beautiful, and well-crafted end-to-end experiences. You should be comfortable owning the entire design process, from UX strategy to product design and company branding.

What you'll do

  • Participate in and shape every part of the product development process, from idea inception to production

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, growth, product, sales, operations, and leadership to create incredible user experiences

  • Develop and maintain the design system and brand assets we’ll use across the company

  • Write design documentation and guidelines for internal audiences

  • Iterate on and improve our design standards, tooling, and processes

Background we're looking for

  • 4+ years of experience in product design roles

  • Obsession with understanding and serving users and, ultimately, making their lives better

  • Demonstrated first principle thinking and mastery of fundamental design principles

  • Experience operating in ambiguous environments solving complex user problems

  • Ability to balance blue sky creativity and dedication to craft with bias to action

Experience we’d be particularly excited about

  • Ability to read and/or write HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Background scaling high growth technology companies in the past

  • Experience or interest in finance, healthcare, or benefits

What to expect

We want this process to be transparent, thoughtful, and reflective of the work you’ll be doing every day. Our goal is to learn how you think, collaborate, and create — while giving you a clear sense of the team, our culture, and how we work together. Here’s what the process looks like:

  • 30-minute video interview screen to talk through your background and interest in Thatch.

  • 30 minute first-round video interview with the hiring manager to dive deeper into your experience, approach to design, and how you work.

  • 30 minute video meetings to connect with two members of the team

  • 60-minute video meeting portfolio review with members of the design team to walk through your projects, your process, and the impact of your work.

  • 30 minute video meeting with our founder to discuss culture, values, and how we operate as a company.

We aim to move efficiently while giving you space to share your thinking, ask questions, and get a real sense of what it’s like to work here.

About Thatch

We’re a fully distributed early stage company using technology to change the way America does healthcare. We’re a happy, friendly, high-velocity team. You can read more on Thatch here.

Design UX Design Engineer (US Remote) at Oomnitza

Owns and maintains the design system, component library, and prototyping tooling that enables product engineers to design and build quickly while maintaining quality standards.

Senior Remote Posted 3 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Oomnitza offers the industry’s most versatile Enterprise Technology Management platform that orchestrates and automates key business processes for IT. Our SaaS solution, with agentless integrations, best practices and low-code workflows, enables enterprises to leverage their existing infrastructure systems and automate processes such as offboarding, onboarding, audit readiness, refresh forecasting and more, thereby reducing reliance on error-prone manual tasks and tickets. We help some of the most well-known and innovative companies to improve efficiency, expedite audits, mitigate cyber risk and eliminate redundant IT spend.

Oomnitza is hiring a UX Design Engineer to own the design system, component library, and prototyping tooling that powers our Product Engineering team. In our model, Product Engineers run discovery and prototyping end-to-end; your job is to give them an opinionated, well-tested, well-documented platform so they can move fast without losing design quality.

This is a hands-on role. Most of your time is in code and design tooling: maintaining the system, evolving the Storybook component library, building scaffolding that makes prototyping fast, and consulting on the small number of interactions that are genuinely novel. The role can sit in the US or in Ireland since most of the work is with tooling and systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the Oomnitza design system end-to-end: visual language, interaction patterns, accessibility guardrails, and the rules that keep the product feeling like one product.
  • Maintain and extend the Storybook component library. Components should be correct, documented, performant, accessible, and easy for Product Engineers to compose.
  • Build and maintain the prototyping tooling (design tokens, AI-prompt scaffolds, design markdowns, starter kits) that lets Product Engineers move from idea to validated prototype in days.
  • Consult with Product Engineers on UX interactions that fall outside the patterns, and produce the new pattern, component, or guidance that adds back to the system.
  • Partner with engineering to keep the design system and the implementation library aligned. Identify when a one-off interaction should be promoted into the system.
  • Hold the quality bar for design output across the team. Review prototypes against the system, flag drift, and make the right thing easy to do.
  • Track the design-engineering space (Figma plugins, AI design tooling, headless component libraries, accessibility standards) and propose investments that make the team faster.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years combined across product design and front-end engineering. You are equally comfortable in Figma and in a modern front-end codebase.
  • Experience owning or substantially contributing to a production design system and a Storybook or equivalent component library.
  • Strong front-end skills: React, TypeScript, modern CSS including design tokens, and accessibility best practices.
  • Comfort with AI-enabled design and prototyping workflows. You see AI as a way to make the design system more useful, not as a replacement for it.
  • Strong taste paired with the discipline to systematize it. You recognize good design and codify it into reusable patterns and components.
  • Strong written and verbal communication. You can document a pattern, brief a Product Engineer, and influence without authority.
  • Self-directed and outcome-oriented. You identify the highest-leverage investments in the system and prioritize without close supervision.
  • B2B SaaS or enterprise software experience is a strong plus.

What we can offer you

  • Career Growth: Top performers will have an opportunity to help shape the team. Working directly with the founders to drive initiatives and create a structure that scales
  • Market-competitive salary + equity
  • A once-in-a-lifetime career opportunity to get onboard a fast-growing business that is venture-backed by Shasta Ventures, SYN Ventures and Riverside Acceleration Capital

The base salary range for this position is: $120,000-165,000

Oomnitza recruits, employs, trains, compensates and promotes regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, veteran status, and other protected status as required by applicable law.

Design Design Systems, Product Designer at Gusto

Design and maintain a design system (Workbench) with expertise in components, tokens, and AI-assisted workflows for internal builders at Gusto.

Lead Posted 3 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Gusto

At Gusto, we’re on a mission to grow the small business economy. We handle the hard stuff — payroll, health insurance, 401(k)s, and HR — so owners can focus on their craft and their customers. With teams in Denver, San Francisco, and New York, we support more than 500,000 small businesses nationwide and are building a workplace that reflects the people we serve.

All full-time employees receive competitive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs) — because everyone who helps build Gusto should share in its success. Offer amounts are determined by role, level, and location. Learn more about our Total Rewards philosophy.

AI is a fundamental part of how work gets done at Gusto. We expect all team members to actively engage with AI tools relevant to their role and grow their fluency as the technology evolves. AI experience requirements vary by role and will be assessed during the interview process.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a AI-native Design Systems Designer to join Gusto’s Builder Enablement team — the team responsible for Workbench, Gusto’s internal design system, and for how every designer and engineer at Gusto ships high-quality work with AI assistance.

This role sits at an exciting and genuinely new intersection: deep design systems craft combined with fluency in AI-assisted workflows. You’ll help evolve and maintain Workbench at a pivotal moment — we’re mid-Brand Refresh, actively building AI tooling to improve how builders interact with the system, and expanding how the design system serves LLMs and AI-assisted products as much as it serves human designers. The ideal candidate is a rigorous systems thinker with strong component and token expertise who is excited about using AI tools as a core part of how they work, not just an add-on. We use Figma as a helper tool, but our deliverables are code. The level of this role is similar to/equivalent of a Senior Staff-level.

About the Team:

The Builder Enablement team’s mission is to make high-quality, AI-assisted shipping the default for every builder at Gusto. We own Workbench, Gusto’s design system, but we also own how it gets expressed to AI tools and builders. Our work spans component design and documentation, token architecture, AI tooling (including MCP servers, prompt engineering, and eval systems), and supporting the broader design and engineering org in using the system well.

We’re a small, tight-knit team of designers and engineers embedded within Gusto’s design organization, led by our CDO, Amy Thibodeau. We care deeply about craft, systems thinking, and making complex things feel simple for the people who depend on us.

Product Design at Gusto is made up of over 70 creative, collaborative people who care deeply about our mission to empower small businesses and their employees. We’re a cross-functional bunch focused on Design, Research, Writing, Ops and Front-end Development who are always looking for opportunities to build understanding and empathy for the people who use Gusto. We don’t care a whole lot about swim lanes and we work closely with our partners in Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to design, build and ship experiences that make a difference. We are passionate advocates for thoughtful, crafted, and inclusive experiences and we believe great design can make hard things possible, even delightful. Read more about Design at Gusto.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Design and maintain Workbench components and patterns, including complex components with variables, variants, and tokenized styles
  • Own and evolve semantic and functional token architecture as we execute the Brand Refresh and move toward theming
  • Work closely with our engineering team to ensure component consistency including coded implementations — pairing on design decisions, reviewing implementations, contributing to technical plans, and committing your own PRs.
  • Contribute to AI tooling that helps designers and engineers use Workbench correctly — including structured documentation, storybook examples, and content that makes the system legible to LLMs
  • Support product designers and engineers through Office Hours, Slack, and async review
  • Document and publish design decisions, usage guidance, and component rationale
  • Participate in systemic decisions about component architecture, naming conventions, and migration strategy — especially in the context of the ongoing Brand Refresh

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Design Systems Experience: 4 + years working on a product design systems team through the full lifecycle — design, implementation, documentation, and adoption. Experience with token architecture and component API design is required.
  • Product Design Experience: 7+ years experience working on a product design team
  • AI Fluency: Genuine experience using AI tools (Claude, Copilot, or similar) as a meaningful part of your workflow — not just experimentally. Comfort directing AI assistance, evaluating its output, and knowing where human judgment is required.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to pair effectively with engineering, understand technical plans and constraints, and contribute meaningfully to implementation decisions and code repos
  • Accessibility Minded: A solid understanding of WCAG AA guidelines and how accessibility considerations shape component and token decisions.
  • Technical Skill: Expert knowledge of AI design tools and Figma, including complex component construction, variable and token usage, prototyping, and basic Github process.
  • Design Integrity: High degree of design craft and polish, with a strong point of view about what good looks like in a design system.
  • Communication: Documentation expertise and the ability to educate and align peers across disciplines. Demonstrated ability to advocate for systemic consistency while remaining collaborative and service-minded.
  • Additional Experience: Experience with LLM-readable documentation, MCP servers, or AI-assisted design tooling.

Our cash compensation range for this role is $147,000/yr to $215,000/yr in Denver, and $178,000/yr to $253,000/yr in San Francisco and New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto’s subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.

When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required. This includes non-office days for hybrid employees.

Our customers come from all walks of life and so do we. We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger. If you share our values and our enthusiasm for small businesses, you will find a home at Gusto.

Gusto is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Design UX Design Engineer (US Remote) at Oomnitza

Owns and maintains the design system, component library, and prototyping tooling that enables product engineers to design and prototype at scale.

SweetRush is a remote organization and as such all resources must: be technically savvy, have access to a strong internet signal, comfortable with virtual/instant messaging and conferencing tools, and generally available during established working hours.

About the Role

The AI Image-Video Editor is responsible for creating the visual elements and assets needed for production, editing, and enhancing video content using a combination of traditional video editing techniques and emerging AI tools. This role bridges creative storytelling with technological innovation, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and visually consistent video outputs that align with project and brand goals.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and edit all the visual elements needed to create the final visual and video content using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Heygen, ElevenLabs, image flash 2.5, Seedream, Kling, Sora, Veo3, etc.) and conventional software (Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Collaborate with creative directors, designers, and scriptwriters to bring storyboards and visual concepts to life.
  • Research and test new generative AI tools for video production, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and creative potential.
  • Optimize workflows by integrating AI-based automation for tasks such as rotoscoping, compositing, lip-syncing, and style transfer.
  • Create and maintain visual consistency, pacing, and narrative flow across AI-generated characters and environments
  • Ensure all outputs meet quality standards, brand guidelines, and accessibility requirements.
  • Document workflows and provide input on process improvements for AI-based production pipelines

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in video editing and post-production.
  • Strong familiarity with AI-driven creative tools (image generation, video generation, image-to-video, text-to-video, or sound design).
  • Understanding of storytelling, motion design, cinematography, and visual composition.
  • Comfortable experimenting with emerging technologies and adapting to evolving workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • (Optional but valuable) Experience in prompt engineering or scripting for generative video tools.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with ComfyUI or Automatic1111 for more granular control over generation.
  • Basic 3D skills (Blender/Cinema 4D) to create reference geometry for ControlNet workflows.
  • Experience working in eLearning, L&D, or corporate communications.
  • Knowledge of Python/scripting for automating workflows.
