The Infrastructure organization enables Reddit to deliver Reliability, Performance and Efficiency, with a single opinionated technology stack. The Content Platform team within Infrastructure additionally focuses on empowering product teams to build the best possible Content-related experiences, easily and reliably. This is a high-impact team that owns the Tier-0 services and core data models that power some of the most visible aspects of our product - viewing a feed, posting, commenting, upvoting - and we work closely with teams like Consumer, Ads, Feeds, Storage and Ranking. This is a high impact role where your passion for building and maintaining high quality code, scaling Tier-0 infrastructure and building high-leverage platform services will enable our partner product teams to deliver tangible user value.

What You’ll Do:

As a software engineer, you will work with teammates and partner teams to create and improve scalable, fault tolerant, self-serve systems that comprise the Content Platform at Reddit. You will also:

• Design, write, and deliver software (mostly in Go, sometimes in Python) to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Reddit’s products
• Dive deep into the codebase of a suite of Go services owned by the team as well as one of Reddit’s monolith Python legacy stack
• Be able to make system level improvements, enhancements and implement complex code modifications

Who You Might Be:

• 3+ years of software engineering experience in a production setting writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code

The Role

We’re looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about building scalable web services and cloud infrastructure for products used at thousands of companies around the world. Responsibilities

At Blue River, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $113,000 - $202,000/year for the level at which this job has been scoped. The Role

We’re looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about building scalable web services and cloud infrastructure for products used at thousands of companies around the world. You would be working with our Platform Engineering team, implementing reliable distributed systems that manage petabyte-scale data across a range of products. The work requires hands-on data engineering experience. Our stack; BigQuery, SQLMesh, Python, Dagster- is distinct from Splice’s web engineering stack, and effective contribution requires domain expertise in data pipeline systems, not general software engineering background.

TEAM INFORMATION:

You’ll be joining Splice’s Data Engineering team, a small, embedded platform team responsible for the pipelines, transformations, and warehouse infrastructure the rest of the company depends on. Our systems support finance-critical processes (contributor payouts, GAAP revenue reporting), product analytics, and data reliability for customer-facing features like recommendations. We operate with a shared on-call rotation and a strong bias toward observable, well-documented, durable systems.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Pipeline Development & Transformation

• Build and maintain data models in SQLMesh, including incremental strategies, testing, and documentation
• Continuously improve and evolve our orchestration and transformation infrastructure as the platform scales
• Modernize legacy pipeline jobs in Python and SQLMesh, reducing technical debt over time

Reliability & Observability

• Participate in on-call rotation; triage and resolve incidents including ETL failures, data unavailability, and core metric breakage
• Build introspectable software: define alert thresholds, emit metrics and logs, produce dashboards, and establish closed-loop escalation paths
• Improve observability across the platform so failures are caught early and resolved quickly

Finance & Revenue Pipelines

• Extend and maintain pipelines powering creator payouts and GAAP-compliant revenue reporting across Splice’s product lines
• Build pipeline support for new revenue streams as Splice launches them

Platform Quality & Optimization

• Improve query performance and reduce compute costs in BigQuery
• Contribute to ingestion platform work and product analytics infrastructure
• Uphold our definition of done: validation complete, documentation updated, monitoring in place before closing a ticket

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience in a production environment
• Proficiency in SQL — window functions, CTEs, query optimization, execution plan analysis
• Proficiency in Python for pipeline logic, data transformation, and testing (maintainable code, not just scripts)
• Experience with a modern transformation framework — SQLMesh, dbt, or equivalent — including incremental models, testing, and documentation
• Production experience with a cloud data warehouse (we use BigQuery); understands partitioning, clustering, and cost management
• Experience with at least one workflow orchestrator (Dagster, Airflow, Prefect, or equivalent)
• Demonstrated ability to build observable, reliable data systems — alerting, dashboards, and data quality checks
• Comfortable owning small-to-medium features from technical design through delivery with limited guidance

The national pay range for this role is $94,952 - $118,690. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience.

About the Role

Abnormal AI is looking for a backend software engineer to work on customer-facing products that enable SOC teams to search across cloud email tenants, investigate threats, and perform remediation at scale. You’ll work on systems that directly power how security teams find and act on malicious messages inside the Abnormal platform. We use AI-augmented development practices across our engineering org, and expect engineers to leverage modern AI tools to build faster and ship high-quality software with more leverage. The ideal candidate has backend and distributed systems experience, takes ownership of what they ship, and wants to work on products where reliability and speed directly affect customer security outcomes.

What You Will Do

• Design and build backend services that power search, remediation, and quarantine workflows across multi-tenant enterprise email environments
• Work with the Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, and Product Manager to scope, develop, and deliver features end-to-end
• Own the reliability of the systems you build, including unit tests, integration testing, and production observability
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues
• Contribute to API design for customer-facing REST endpoints used by security operations teams
• Communicate effectively in an async-first environment, provide updates, surface blockers, and propose solutions without prompting
• Leverage AI development tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows, and deliver reliable production outcomes
• Mentor junior engineers and raise the engineering bar through code reviews and knowledge sharing

Must Haves

• BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or a related engineering field
• 3+ years of industry experience in backend development and distributed systems
• Experience building features and components from scratch and operating them in production, balancing feature work with operational reliability
• Experience working with distributed teams, proficient in asynchronous and written communication
• Experience improving service reliability, resiliency, and observability in production systems
• Strong fundamentals in computer science, data structures, and system design

Nice to Have

• Experience with our stack: Python, Go, AWS, Kubernetes, Django
• Experience with search systems, remediation workflows, or operational tooling used by SOC teams
• Experience with SIEM/SOAR integrations or platform APIs
• Exposure to email security, email authentication standards (DMARC, DKIM), or cybersecurity products
