Sales Integration Engineer, Metronome at Stripe

Solutions architect who leads customer discovery and implementation strategy to help billing platform customers achieve value and solve complex pricing and invoicing challenges.

Mid Posted about 11 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

Metronome is the leading usage-based billing platform built for modern software companies. With Metronome, companies can launch products faster, offer any pricing model, and streamline finance workflows without writing code. Our platform computes millions of invoices per billing period and is scaling rapidly to accommodate new customers, saving them hours of development time and manual invoicing and enabling them to use consumption data to better serve their customers. Our customers love our product and approach, and we’re humbled to work with amazing companies like OpenAI, Databricks, NVIDIA, Confluent, and Anthropic.

You’ll be joining an experienced team that includes founders who have successfully built and sold startups before. Our founders and employees have direct experience building and scaling teams through massive growth at companies like Dropbox, Clever, and New Relic. On the back of this experience and our success-to-date, we’ve raised over $128M from leading investors including NEA, Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst, Elad Gil, and Workday Ventures. We’re also proud to have founders and executives of companies like Segment, Plaid, Looker, Gitlab, Confluent, HashiCorp, and Snowflake, as investors who have experienced the pain we’re solving firsthand.

About the team

The Solutions Architecture team at Metronome is a technical group that sits at the intersection of sales, growth, product, and R&D. In simple terms, we own the technical aspects of the customer lifecycle between after sales and before handoff to post-implementation teams.

As a member of the Solutions Architecture team, you’ll primarily be focused on ensuring customers successfully implement Metronome’s products and realize value quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Using proficient discovery and scoping  to understand what challenges our clients face in billing, launching new products, pricing & packaging, quote-to-cash, customer experience, and related areas.
  • Doing whatever it takes to support clients throughout the entire implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, technical design, integration design, testing, data migration, and launch.
  • Providing expert guidance to clients regarding usage-based pricing and consumption business models.
  • Hands on configuration of Metronome’s system on behalf of clients
  • Designing integrations between Metronome’s APIs and the clients business systems to align to Metronome best practices (including CRM/ CPQ, Payments, Taxation, ERP, Billing Providers, Reporting and Analytics tools).
  • Acting as a  liaison between the field and Metronome R&D to advocate for client needs and feature requests.
  • Partnering with implementation managers and other project team members to provide visibility into progress and proactively identify risks and issues
  • Building relationships with people at our client organizations, from day-to-day operators to C-Suite executives. We believe in meeting our customers in-person whenever possible.
  • Designing integrations of Metronome into prospect systems and consultatively influencing the direction of our prospects’ pricing and packaging.
  • Ensuring a proper handoff to our post-implementation teams (Customer Success and Technical Support).

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Expect these engagements to be complex, deep, technical, and most of all interesting. Metronome directly influences how the internet monetizes - AI is an obvious current example - and our group is on the front lines driving this influence with our prospects. Metronome is a startup. As such, there’s a lot still to figure out and tremendous room for high-agency people to impact our direction and strategy, build processes from zero to one, and generally make a difference. If this excites you as much as it excites us, let’s talk.

Minimum requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working in technical and/or customer-facing roles involving SaaS products (for example, roles like sales engineering, solutions architecture, technical account management).
  • Deep knowledge of the quote-to-cash space, including integrating with or otherwise interacting with tools like Salesforce, NetSuite, CPQs, Billing, Tax, Payments, etc.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-phase technology transformation programs for enterprise companies.
  • Experience in fast-moving startup environments that value high agency.
  • Ability to quickly learn and communicate technical concepts to technical, go-to-market, and finance stakeholders.
  • Excitement for building and improving GTM playbooks, processes, and reusable assets.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time (will vary depending on client needs)

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience as a software engineer, product manager, or in other technical roles.
  • Strong understanding of project management and program management fundamentals and principles
  • Experience working with users from one or more of the following personas: Finance/ CFO, Engineering/ CTO, Product/ CPO, Sales Ops/ CRO, and Billing Operations.
  • Experience with logs, metrics, billing, finance, or other infrastructure or financial tooling and concepts.

Backed by $100M from top investors, we’re tackling big challenges in an industry that’s ready for change. Our platform enables GenAI use cases by delivering clean, connected, and reliable healthcare data to support automation, prioritization, and decision workflows—and it’s why we are leading the way.

Our innovation begins with people. We are bold, curious, and collaborative—because the best ideas come from working together. We embrace the thoughtful use of AI and automation to drive innovation and efficiency, and we look for individuals who are curious and adaptable—those excited to leverage emerging technologies to enhance how we work—while keeping human insight, connection, and our clients at the center of every decision.

Ready to make an impact? Join us and let’s build the future together.

About the Role

Abacus Insights is looking for a Channel Account Manager to strengthen the ecosystem of partners that extends our reach and amplifies our impact. This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of strategy, enablement, and growth—managing relationships with consulting firms and systems integrators, ISVs embedded in our solution, and large technology platforms like Databricks, Microsoft Azure, and AWS.

You’ll align incentives, run co-sell motions, and turn these partnerships into a reliable pipeline of qualified opportunities for Abacus. Once a lead or opportunity is identified, you’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our sales team to help close it—then build the flywheel so it happens again and again.

You’ll be joining at a pivotal moment, with strong momentum and a partner ecosystem primed for activation. If you understand both the healthcare industry and the technology reshaping it, this is your role.

Your day to day

  • Manage strategic relationships with consulting and systems integrator partners, ISVs, and cloud/platform technology partners (Databricks, Azure, AWS, and others)
  • Run partner enablement programs—co-sell frameworks, partner training, and referral structures—that drive qualified pipeline into the Abacus sales process
  • Identify, qualify, and convert partnership opportunities into tangible sales leads and revenue-generating engagements
  • Partner closely with Abacus sales, marketing, and solutions teams to support active opportunities and ensure seamless handoffs
  • Track partner engagement, pipeline contribution, and revenue influence; report on ROI to guide ongoing investment
  • Represent Abacus at partner events, conferences, and executive briefings to deepen relationships and raise our profile
  • Ensure partner commitments are reflected in product positioning, solution packaging, and customer success motions

What you bring to the team

  • 5–7 years in business development, strategic partnerships, sales enablement, or management consulting, with a track record of measurable revenue impact
  • Experience within healthcare consulting, payer technology, or the health data ecosystem
  • Demonstrated sales prowess—you know how to identify a real opportunity, build a business case, and close it
  • Strategic thinker who can translate ecosystem dynamics into a partner strategy that ladders up to company growth goals
  • Understanding of how large enterprises buy, how data flows through their ecosystem, and who the key players are
  • Comfort operating at both a strategic and tactical level—you can set partner strategy and also write the enablement deck, run the QBR, and coach a rep on a specific deal
  • Strong relationship-building skills across levels, from field reps at a systems integrator to a VP of Alliances at a major cloud provider
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas for executive audiences
  • Self-starter mentality, comfortable building structure in ambiguity and managing multiple workstreams
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience

What we would like to see, but is not required

  • Prior experience in SaaS, health tech, payer, or data platform companies in a partnerships or BD capacity
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake), or enterprise software ecosystems
  • Familiarity with value-based care, payer data infrastructure, or interoperability standards (FHIR, CMS mandates)
  • Experience with CRM/partner relationship management tools (HubSpot or similar)
  • Existing relationships within the healthcare consulting, payer technology, or health data ecosystem

Compensation: Compensation for this role is based on experience, skills, and location, and includes base salary plus eligibility for performance bonuses and equity grants.

What you’ll get in return

  • Unlimited paid time off – recharge when you need it
  • Work from anywhere – flexibility to fit your life
  • Comprehensive health coverage – multiple plan options to choose from
  • Equity for every employee – share in our success
  • Growth-focused environment – your development matters here
  • Home office setup allowance – one-time support to get you started
  • Monthly cell phone allowance – stay connected with ease

About Us

Abacus Insights is transforming how data works for health plans. Our mission is simple: make healthcare data usable, so the people responsible for care and cost decisions can act faster, with confidence.
